The presentation is just a sales pitch so they can get paid. Give me my $900 back and stop stealing the little bit of disability I get monthly. We have been going to Sunset Harbour for over 25 years and love it there but on a recent visit it was obvious that even the staff there regret any association with Diamond or Hilton. We had booked vacation packages with Hilton before so we felt it was legit. During the trip following, my husband decided to attend another of their "meetings" and they explained that we needed to put in another $10K to ultimately save on maintenance fees. Close top bar. No support at the corporate level, the training is mediocre at best. I was told again, there is no availability. (All Locations offered can be viewed on Destinations Overview located at the top of the page). I think I have paid enough to this company for something that is never used. So my total to walk away would be $18K. The offered us additional gifts, transportation, and meals, despite declining a few times, we finally decided to take them up on their offer. I was told when we did a small point package for HGVMax there would not be fees to transfer our points to Hilton Honors or to roll our points over from Diamondnow I am told there are cost for everything now. Javier - that is my question as well. We stayed at this presentation for almost 5hrs. If so please reach out to me as I too would like to seek legal justice in this matter. Did you ever get this call: "Because you've been a customer of the Hilton Hotels (or Marriott/Hyatt) you qualify for a free vacation". What they are not telling you amidst all those marketing marveling and chanting of how great Hilton is, and how much they did a study looking at all the problems and complaints that diamond owners had worn their vacation packages, is that they are effectively FORCING diamond owners to buy Hilton points and convert over to the new HVG system. We are Diamond Gold, Hilton told us last week at the Las Vegas Polo Towers that only 10% of Diamond owners have not upgraded to Max, (I bet not) they offered us $14,900 to upgrade, $1,600 down and $300 a month for 10 years.) We are going to wait to the beginning of the year and see what they do. Diamond Resorts-is it a scam? So when January was coming close I decided to lower the $$ amount we would do. In late 2021 and 2022, the bigger-than-ever Hilton Vacation Club will then include 154 resorts and 720,000 owners with a global footprint that offers travel to mid-level, upscale and luxury resorts. Aside from the gifts and clever wording, we were never told that the costs for maintenance would stick with us forever. On the surface they say, oh we let you guys have a grandfather clause and if you want to remain in diamond, you can BUT, the caveat is, they are going to strip all the diamond resorts locations except for about 16 that are in the trust OUT of your diamond resorts system with the proclamation that even those resorts are subject to change at any time thusfor diamond owners who already spent thousands and thousands to own and are comfortable with the system and properties they have access to, must either spend a minimum of between 20 and 40 thousand dollars to purchase the minimum point allocation of 4500 points to convert their diamond ownership to hiltons HVG brand, or have their diamond ownership devalued down to 16 resorts, most of them the crappiest in the diamond portfolio save 4 or 5.
