Throughout this clerkship, students will be provided with the tools necessary to become competent with localization, diagnosis of common neurological disorders and their management. Therefore, while observerships are important experiences, externships are even more highly valued. And we regularly revisit our curriculum of rotations, didactic sessions, conferences, and research opportunities, and we look for opportunities to address resident requests and needs. The primary teaching institute for this fellowship is University of Missouri Health Cares University Hospital, which houses a 12-bed neuroscience intensive care unit with the latest technology.
